Watercolors on folded paper

Freedom, Forms and Taking Sail

Over the years I have explored the idea of freedom, by creasing paper in various patterns and then watercoloring between the folds, as well as over the deep bends.  A sense of control and surprise emerges in the process, and appears to help heal from confliciting events as if the mechenical aspect of the folding releases tension, and the careful painting returns a sense of order.
